Well, it's been awhile, nearly 3 months since the last post. Since I last posted I turned 26, got married, went on my honeymoon, found a new apartment (will be moving in on August 1st) and started animating on a new show. Whew! I now animate on Total Drama the Musical (season 3 of the Total Drama series) at Elliott Animation. The wedding was perfection in my mind, I was very happy. It's lovely to recall all the things I've experienced in the past few months, especially the wedding day and honeymoon. Stephen and I went to Disneyworld for our honeymoon! It was a lot of fun. Art at home has been pretty neglected due to the busy schedule but I want to get back on track and get chasing after a new set of goals.A few sources of inspiration:
Jim Capobiano has posted a trailer for Leonardo!
I saw Up! It was beautiful, but as usual, I want to see this movie a second time... I have a hard time digesting great films in one viewing...
The Terrible Thing of Alpha-9 - the thesis film of Jake Armstrong. He was a student of the School of Visual Arts. Check out his blog.
Paper art! I love paper and paper products and paper art and these folded pieces of paper by Simon Schubert are beautiful works of art.
Not totally sure what to think of the content of Disney's next 2D animated feature... It will be a Winnie the Pooh flick, (I adored Winnie the Pooh when I was a kid) but I'm super happy Disney is making another 2D film and I'm sure they'll make it well.
